Final Sail Installed on New Central Library Dome

In early July, the final of eight sails comprising the New Central Library’s stunning dome was hoisted into place. The dome will cover the Library’s three-story, glass-enclosed Reading Room, providing a space for San Diegans to read, relax and enjoy soaring views of the downtown area.

Construction of the New Central Library remains on time and on budget for a summer 2013 grand opening.
